Undenatured whey protein concentrate comprises up to 80% protein by weight. It is rich in branch chain amino acids (BCAAs) and glutamine as well as bioactive compounds and growth factors, and is low in fat and cholesterol.

Grass Fed Undenatured Partially Hydrolysed Whey Protein Isolate

Undenatured partially hydrolysed whey protein isolate is up to 90% protein with virtually zero carbohydrates and fat. It is more quickly digested and absorbed by the body than whey protein concentrate, providing your muscles with a rapid supply of amino acids.

Grass Fed Undenatured Micellar Casein

In contrast to whey protein’s rapid digestion, micellar casein is referred to as a ‘time-release’ protein because it is digested slowly, feeding your muscles with amino acids at a low level over a period of up to 8 hours to ensure optimum growth and recovery. It contains all of the essential amino acids and provides a high level of leucine, which initiates muscle growth.

Cheaper whey concentrates are the by-product of cheese making that employs high temperature processing methods.

Leucine

Leucine is an essential amino acid. It plays a vital role in muscle protein synthesis and many other functions, including the regulation of blood-sugar levels, growth and repair of muscle and bone tissue and growth hormone production. Taurine

Taurine is one of the most abundant amino acids to be found in muscle tissue, the brain and various organs throughout the body. It performs an important role in a wide variety of functions including muscle contraction, the maintenance of hydration, electrolyte balance, digestion and immune function. Recent studies have shown that taurine supplementation improves aerobic performance, anaerobic performance (strength, power), recovery (DOMS), and can decrease metabolic markers (creatine kinase, lactate, inorganic phosphate) and reduces the expression of two key molecules involved in the atrophy process, atrogin-1 and MuRF-1 showing the potential to inhibit muscle atrophy.
